the sad part is that people actually went to the conference....WHY....why play their sick game? In my opinion nobody trying to defend the Holocaust (which sounds so dumb even saying that) should have attended that conference.
Is free speech responsible for the death of common sense?

OK one last comment here (I wasn't going to comment on this debate anymore but this last response warranted one). Lets go back 20 hours or so when I stated my OPINION on the matter by saying that they should not be allowed to hold this conference.

In my opinion, he will never win. Hes already giving me the impression that all he wants to do is escape Iraq asap, which will shed a bad light on the Dems.

and to add one more thing, if we are to allow this sort of free speech to occur so that the Iranians can be taught about the Holocaust then why are Israeli Arabs who are believers of the Holocaust denied access to this "scholarly debate"...The article follows:

By stating that they shouldn't be allowed to hold this conference I was simply implying that we (which involves any other nation in my opinion) should not attend the conference because by doing so says that we believe we need to defend that fact.

Your comment was referring to how Nazis (I assume) justified their hatred for the Jews and that they were ignorant for doing so...agreed. I am saying that it is difficult for me to recognize that a country (Iran) when their views about a proven historical event are so stubborn and close-minded.
